  • Los Banos Creek Reservoir- Los Banos Creek Reservoir is known in the area for its excellent fishing. Stocking by the Department of Fish & Wildlife keeps the reservoir well supplied with trout in the winter months. Bass fishing derbies are often held here, and crappie and bluegill are also caught.  There is a 5 MPH speed limit on the entire lake, making it pleasant for small watercraft such as kayaks and canoes to have a favorable safe experience.
  • H. G. Fawcett Canal Trail- An off-road trail with scenic canal access, bench seating, and shade trees! This trail is a former rail line that was converted to a city walking trail that runs from the northwest to the southeast of Los Banos.
  • San Luis National Wildlife Refuge- The San Luis National Wildlife Refuge in the San Joaquin Valley of central California is one of the great remnants of a historically bountiful wintering grounds for migratory waterfowl on the Pacific Flyway. Located in the Bear Creek, Salt Slough, and San Joaquin River floodplain, it hosts a myriad of tree-lined channels and oxbows, wetlands and native grasslands.

  • Los Banos Downtown- A beauitiful and historical spot! Stop by the heart of downtown and visit the Henry Miller Plaza which includes a gift shop with an old fashioned soda fountain and lunch counter.
  • Merced Community College Los Banos Campus- A full-service educational center of Merced College, providing services to residents of the Westside of Merced County. This campus offers a wide variety of coursework for personal, professional, and academic enrichment.
  • Los Banos Library-  Stop by the library for childrens story time or computer use and enjoy the display of local artist's work! Here you can find magazine subscriptions, 400,000 titles available, weekly story time, and summer reading programs for kids, and adult literacy tutoring.
  • Oliveira Park- Venture out to the park in the neighborhood for some family fun! This park features restrooms, a play structure, walking trail, picnic tables, and two large fields with stadium lights. 
  • The Miliken Museum- looks like a 1960’s era elementary school building on the outside, but inside you’ll find a treasure trove of artifacts and history. This building holds evidence of the species that lived in Los Banos in prehistoric times and artifacts from the Native Americans who first settled the valley.
